Once upon a time, there was a lazy man who loved eating but hated working. Every day, he did nothing but lie around, sleep, and imagine delicious food. He often dreamed about eating all kinds of tasty dishes, but he never wanted to put in any effort.
One day, while lying on his bed, he suddenly thought, “How wonderful it would be to eat a delicious wild rabbit!” He remembered hearing that a hunting bird could catch rabbits quickly.
For the first time in a long while, he actually got up and went to the market. However, he had no idea what that bird looked like. After wandering around and asking vaguely, he ended up buying a duck instead, thinking it was the bird he needed.
A Ridiculous Attempt
The next day, the man took the duck to an open field and waited for a rabbit to appear. After a long wait, a rabbit finally ran across the field.

The man frowned and replied, “How can you be a duck? I thought you were a fast and skilled hunting bird.”
The duck had no choice but to prove itself. It stretched out its webbed feet and showed them clearly.
“Look at my feet,” the duck said. “Look at how clumsy I am. Do I look like a creature that can hunt rabbits?”
A Lesson Too Late
The man looked at the duck, then looked around. By that time, the rabbit had long disappeared into the distance.
With nothing gained and everything wasted, the man returned home in disappointment.
